Russian Ministry of Defense signs a contract for ten Mi-8AMTSH helicopters

As the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on December 20, 2017, as part of the implementation of the state defense order GOZ 2018-2020, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant JSC (UUAZ) entered into state contracts for the supply of aerospace Russian forces of the Mi-8AMTSH-V and Mi-8AMTSH helicopters in the salon configuration.
In accordance with the terms of the contract, until the end of 2018, two newest Mi-AMTSh-V helicopters will be handed over to the VKS, and by the end of 2019, eight Mi-8AMTSh helicopters in the salon package will be handed over.

For reference: Mi-8AMTSH-V is a further development of the line of helicopters of transport and combat helicopters Mi-8AMTSH.
Mi-8AMTSH "Salon" is designed to transport personnel of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
Both types of helicopters can be used for carrying out transport, search and rescue, medical and evacuation operations, as well as for performing special-purpose tasks. They are equipped with modern flight-navigation equipment and communication complex. In addition, the helicopters are adapted to the use of night vision goggles, which allows you to fly in the dark at extremely low altitudes, as well as to take off and land from non-equipped sites.
The power plant of the helicopters provides for the installation of Russian VK-2500-03 engines with increased power and enhanced transmission, which makes it more efficient to use technology in high-altitude and hot climate areas. The helicopters are also equipped with the BMS-Indicator satellite navigation system, as well as the TsNS-02 digital navigation system.
All helicopters will be adapted to the installation of onboard laser defense systems.
Comment bmpd.Recall that the Mi-8AMTSH-1 helicopters in the Salon configuration were originally developed by decision of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation N.Makarov dated July 1, 2011, and two such helicopters worth 304 million rubles each were delivered to UUAZ by the Ministry of Defense on December 1, 2012 under a contract dated August 1, 2011, for use by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The order of these helicopters was actively used in the media campaign against then-Minister of Defense A.E. Serdyukov. At least one more helicopter of a similar configuration was later manufactured for the FSB aviation.
