This task can confound an inexperienced user, since the power supply has a lot of wires. But do not worry, it is not as difficult as it seems. So, the power supply unit (hereinafter - PSU) is a power source that supplies the computer with electrical energy, and also protects against minor interferences in the network and cools some computer parts.
Instructions for connecting the power supply
Step 1. Turn off the computer, install the power supply unit in the case, fix it with 4 screws from the outside.
Step 2. Turn on all connectors that need separate power supply. Do not be afraid to do something wrong, because all connectors (connectors) are of different shapes. Consider some of them:
- motherboard connector - the largest, has 20-24 pins;
- processor connector - has 4-6 pins, connects to the motherboard;
- video card connector - has 6-8 pins, connects to the video card;
- hard drive connector - has a narrow connector (SATA), in old versions there is a 4-pin MOLEX connector. If the connectors do not fit, you can use an adapter.
Step 3. After completing the steps above, you can turn on the computer and enjoy the games or work.
